Dear Members and Friends:
As you may be aware, we sent out a notification prior to Hurricane Maria saying that the CSA Annual Conference would go ahead as planned from October 13 to 15. However, in view of the increased number of islands and people affected by Maria, we made the difficult decision to postpone the full Conference to a date to be determined. However, we have proceeded with plans to hold the AGM portion of the Conference in Antigua on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. That will allow us to comply with the CSA By-Laws and take care of important business including updating the membership on happenings over the past year and electing a new Board of Directors.
We recognize that in many members will be unable to attend the AGM in person so are making plans for anyone not able to be in Antigua for the meeting to participate via teleconference. We hope that this approach will be successful and will make it more viable for wider participation at the AGM and Conference in future. To register for the AGM, either in person or via teleconference, please contact email@example.com.
We will discuss with the membership during the AGM whether or not it will be viable to reschedule the remaining portions of the Conference in the near future, with good participation from across the region. It may be that with the busiest portion of the year for most members quickly approaching, the Conference may not be able to be held until the usual time slot in October in 2018. The website will be updated following that discussion at the AGM.
